Noria Software Application Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective immediately for end-users accessing any mobile or web-based licensed software application (“Licensed App”) from Noria Corporation (“Noria”, “our”, “we”, or “us”) on or after May 25, 2018.

This Privacy Policy explains our policies on the collection, use and disclosure of your information regarding usage of our services, products and email communications offered through our Licensed Apps. When using our Licensed Apps, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Definitions

Mobile Licensed Apps are those software applications designed specifically for the native operating systems of mobile devices and must be downloaded and installed on the device by the end-user to access/use.

Web-based Licensed Apps are those software applications designed to be run within previously installed web browsing applications, accessed via a website URL, and not installed on a device directly.

Information We Collect

User-provided Information

We may collect personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”), voluntarily provided by you, including your email address, full name, job title, company name, and phone number when you create a Noria account, utilize any help request system, or complete a survey/provide us feedback from within the Licensed App. Under certain circumstances we may also collect additional Personal Data about you, for example, users who participate in our training events in a speaking capacity may provide biographical data including prior speaking experience and organization information.

Automatically Collected Information

For our mobile Licensed Apps we may automatically record certain information about your mobile device, including unique app installation IDs, the make and model of your mobile device and your device’s operating system.

For our web-based Licensed Apps we may collect information about your web browser and we use cookies for authentication as well as to remember your settings/preferences and record past activity at our sites. To learn more about our use of cookies on our web-based Licensed Apps, please read the sub-section “Cookies” under the “How We Use the Information We Collect” section below.

How We Use the Information We Collect

Improvements

We use the information that is collected to understand and analyze the usage trends and preferences of our users, to improve our Licensed Apps, web sites, and customer service, and to develop new products, services, features, and functionality.

Communications

We may use your email address or phone number, if provided, to contact you for administrative purposes such as sending you links or codes for account activation or password reset, responding to requests for assistance, and/or other customer service related activities. Cookies

For our web-based Licensed Apps we use cookies for authentication and to record session information, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart, record past activity at a site to provide better service when visitors return to our site(s) and ensure that visitors are not repeatedly sent the same banner ads. Cookies are small text files a website(s) uses to recognize repeat users, facilitate the user’s ongoing access to the site(s) and facilitate the use of the site(s). Cookies also collect usage behavior and compile site-usage information that allows for improvement of content. You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. Please note that if you delete, or choose not to accept, cookies from us, you may not be able to utilize the features on our web-based Licensed Apps to the fullest potential.

Analytics

For our web-based Licensed Apps we may participate with third-party analytics partners to monitor and analyze the Web traffic and keep track of user behavior on our site(s).

How We Share Your Information

Except as described in this Policy, we will not intentionally disclose the Personal Data that we collect or store in the Licensed App to third parties without your consent. We may disclose information to third parties if you consent to us doing so, as well as in the following circumstances:

Unrestricted Information

Any information voluntarily provided by you for use in a publicly available area of the Licensed App, such as the public profile page for speakers of our training events, will be available to anyone with access to that content.

Your Choices

Access, Correction, Deletion

We respect your privacy and provide you with reasonable access to the Personal Data that you may have voluntarily provided through your use of our Licensed Apps.

You may access and correct/update your Account information and preferences at any time by accessing your Account Profile page on the Licensed App. Please note that while any changes you make will be reflected in active user databases instantly or within a reasonable period of time, we may retain all information you submit for backups, archiving, prevention of fraud and abuse, analytics, satisfaction of legal obligations, or where we otherwise reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so.

You may decline to share certain Personal Data with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionality of the Licensed App.

Third-Party Services

Our Licensed Apps contain links to other Web sites. Links from our Licensed Apps to other sites or content are provided for your convenience only, and we do not have control over the content or privacy and security practices and policies of such third parties or other sites. We do not include or otherwise transmit any Personal Data via these links to the third party sites. Any Personal Data you provide on linked pages is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party’s privacy policy. We encourage you to learn about their privacy and security practices and policies before providing them with personal information.

Data Retention

We only retain the Personal Data collected from you for as long as your account is active or otherwise for a limited period of time as long as we need it to fulfill the purposes for which we have initially collected it, unless otherwise required by law.

Changes and Updates to this Policy

Please revisit this page periodically to stay aware of any changes to this policy. From time to time, we may use your information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will use for these new purposes only data collected from the time of the policy change forward.
