About The Zem Academy

The Zem Academy is an Istanbul-based engineering training and consultancy firm specializing in reliability, lubrication, condition monitoring and asset management. Founded in 2010, the company delivers professional certification training and practical engineering solutions designed to improve equipment reliability, maintenance performance and asset management capabilities. The Zem Academy is a Noria Partner, ICML Approved Training Partner, and Mobius Institute Authorized Training Center and Authorized Examination Center.

Our Instructors:

Ozan Çakıtlı — CRL, CMRP, ARP-E, ARP-L
Founder and Managing Director of The Zem Academy with close to 30 years of industrial experience in reliability, maintenance and asset management. His training areas include Asset Reliability Practitioner programs, CMRP preparation, predictive maintenance and asset management.

Özgün Yakar — Vibration Analyst Category IV
Mechanical engineer and advanced vibration specialist with more than 15 years of industrial experience in turbine analysis, balancing, Operating Deflection Shape studies, modal analysis and advanced vibration diagnostics. He delivers vibration, ultrasound and infrared thermography certification programs.

Yusuf İhtiyaroğlu — Vibration Analyst Category IV
Mobius Institute-approved instructor specializing in condition monitoring, vibration analysis, ultrasound and infrared thermography. He has delivered international certification programs since 2016.

Umut Arslan — ICML & Mobius Approved Trainer
Chemical engineer and machinery lubrication and oil condition monitoring specialist with more than 13 years of experience in oil analysis, laboratory diagnostics, field support and technical training. He delivers machinery lubrication, field lubrication and oil analysis programs.

Emre Orhon — Vibration Analyst Category III (ISO 18436-2)
Mechanical engineer with nearly 25 years of vibration analysis experience and advanced academic work in machine dynamics, acoustics, signal processing, modal analysis and rotor dynamics. He has managed online vibration monitoring projects at hydroelectric and thermal power plants, has delivered vibration analysis training since 2003, and delivers V-CAT programs in collaboration with The Zem Academy.

Brian A. Forrest, IEng, FIMechE, GCGI — Mobius V-CAT III
Independent maintenance and reliability engineering consultant with more than 47 years of management experience in maintenance and reliability. His work has included condition monitoring, laser alignment and AI wireless sensor technology with organizations including Prüftechnik / Fluke Reliability, Nanoprecise and Northumbrian Water Group. He continues to contribute through consulting, mentoring and teaching, including V-CAT programs.

Ahmed Said Kotb, CMRP, ARP-A — Mobius Institute Approved Instructor
Asset management and reliability trainer and consultant with more than 36 years of experience in maintenance, planning and scheduling, asset management and reliability, including leadership roles with Shell, BP and Total and more than 26 years in the oil and gas sector. He delivers ARP-A and CMRP training along with shutdown and turnaround, CMMS implementation, and maintenance planning and scheduling programs.
