Mark has a PhD in Chemistry with eight years of practical research experience in the field of analytical spectroscopy as well as five years working for a commercial oil analysis lab. As Vice President of Noria Reliability Solutions, Mark and his team work on numerous and varied projects in the areas Lubrication Process Design (LPD), Remote Oil Analysis Diagnostics (ROAD) and oil analysis program design, lube PM rationalization and redesign, lubricant storage and handling, contamination control system design and lubrication and mechanical failure investigations.

Ashley is a leading consultant and trainer for Noria Reliability Solutions (NRS). As Director of Applications Engineering, he has played a vital role in the development of Noria’s world-class Lubrication Process Design (LPD), Lubrication Process Management, and other services.
He has trained hundreds of maintenance and reliability professionals worldwide in Noria’s world-renowned public and onsite seminars with overwhelming success. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa and worked for a commercial laboratory in South Africa for 7 years where he diagnosed approximately one quarter of a million oil samples, ranging from ships, trucks, locomotives and earthmoving machinery to turbines, hydraulics, and gearboxes. He has had wide exposure to a number of industries, such as sugar refining, pulp and paper, opencast and underground mining, aluminum smelting, oil and gas, and power generation.
