To provide a product specialist role in the technical support group for Pall's oil analysis instrumentation including their pore blockage technology and other devices.

Major achievements:

  • Establishing a fluid cleanliness monitoring program on the cylinder head flushing and assembly line at a UK automotive manufacturing facility.
  • Successfully creating custom build units of Pall's instrument for specialist needs.
  • Presentation of papers on monitoring lubrication systems through contaminant analysis.
 
Sishen Iron Ore Mine, ISCOR Ltd. South Africa. (January 1990 - February 1994) Mechanical Engineer.

Sishen is an open cast mine, which extracts and processes 23 million tons of iron ore per year for its steel mills and for export.

Major Achievements:
Assisting in the establishment and growth of a predictive maintenance program utilizing vibration and oil analysis to extend the unit life of the mining equipment. This included introducing a tribology program to audit the life of components subjected to wear extremes.
