The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) is a not-for-profit association founded in 1944 to advance the knowledge and application of the science of lubrication engineering and tribology. The Society offers dollars and cents benefits to anyone involved with tribology and lubrication. If your work is affected by the interaction of moving surfaces then you can benefit by membership in the premier organization for lubrication specialists. STLE is an interdisciplinary association of technical professionals in development, design, research and sales. Members are from six continents around the world. STLE brings together managers, engineers, sales and marketing personnel, scientists, end users and technicians to learn and share "best practices". Members are from industry, government and education. STLE members are associated with the design, operation and maintenance of everything involving modern machinery and equipment to nanotribology and biotribology.
